All parcels sent outside of the UK are subject to customs charges, this now includes the EU as of January 1st 2021.
If your order is being shipped to the EU and the total order value (including postage) is under €150 then VAT will be collected upfront via the IOSS (Import One Stop Shop). This means there will be no VAT or duties to be paid once your order arrives in the EU and all payments are made for this upfront.
For all orders over €150 the IOSS system is no longer valid and VAT/customs charges will be charged when a parcel arrived at customs.
Customs charges are determined when the parcel arrives, therefore it’s impossible for us to determine whether you’ll be charged and by how much in advance.

Does the price I pay include customs charges?
The price you pay does not include customs charges or taxes as these are not known at the time the order is placed.
The decision is made by the relevant authorities in the delivery country who will contact your recipient if there are any charges to be paid.
Customs and Tax
Please note that orders from NON-UK countries have 20% tax deducted at source when you select the country of delivery on our site. Customers may incur some small Duty or Tax payment on delivery depending on your country's import laws. This is paid to DHL on delivery as they fast track customs by paying the duty for you and there may also be a handling fee. Import duties and handling fees are not Yester Home's responsibility. If you refuse to accept delivery and we have to organise the ordered to be returned to us, you will have to pay the courier and any duty costs out of any refund we make to you.
What happens if customs charges are refused?
There is a risk that the parcel will be abandoned or returned to the sender. These actions may not be free of charge and as each country has different rules we cannot give any specifics.
YesterHome.com cannot be held responsible for any charges that customs enforce on a parcel.
How long will my parcel be held in customs?
The courier will attempt to clear your parcel as quickly as possible through customs; however, there are occasions where customs in the delivery country shall require additional information to assist in the clearing of the goods.
Generally customs will contact the recipient directly and for this reason, we request for you to ensure that you include all up-to-date and correct contact details for the courier during the ordering process.

We are working with our airline and postal/courier partners across the globe to maintain services. However, delays should be expected. Many countries have implemented special measure to combat the spread of COVID-19, especially for signature services to maintain social distancing.
The situation is changing daily. Most major export routes remain open, and we continue to accept and process mail, although customers may experience varying levels of delay.
- All International Orders are sent via a DHL Express 1-2 day service (please note Remote areas might incur an additional charge, if this happens we will email you prior to dispatch)
- DHL are delivering as normal with minimal delays due to COVID-19 but please allow an extra 1 - 2 days for delivery during this difficult time.
